1. [025:048] And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going
before His Mercy (rain); and We send down pure water from the sky
2. [025:054] And it is He Who has created man from water, and has appointed for
him kindred by blood, and kindred by marriage. And your Lord is Ever All-
Powerful to do what He wills.
3. [015:022] And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with
water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to
you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores
4. [037:067] Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so
that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqûm in their bellies).
5. [039:021] See you not that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, and
causes it to penetrate the earth, (and then makes it to spring up) as water
springs, and afterward thereby produces crops of different colours, and
afterward they wither and you see them turn yellow; then He makes them dry
and broken pieces. Verily, in this is a Reminder for men of understanding.
6. [067:030] Say (O Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]): “Tell me! If (all)
your water were to sink away, who then can supply you with flowing (spring)
water?”

7. [018:045] And put forward to them the example of the life of this world: it is
like the water (rain) which We send down from the sky, and the vegetation of
the earth mingles with it (and becomes fresh and green). But (later) it becomes
dry and broken pieces, which the winds scatter. And Allâh is Able to do
everything.
8. [011:007] And He it is Who has created the heavens and the earth in six Days
and His Throne was on the water, that He might try you, which of you is the
best in deeds. But if you were to say to them: “You shall indeed be raised up
after death,” those who disbelieve would be sure to say, “This is nothing but
obvious magic.”
9. [056:068] Then tell Me about the water that you drink.
10. [077:027] And have placed therein firm and tall mountains, and have given you
to drink sweet water?
11. [023:018] And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and
We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away.
12. [078:014] And We have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water.
13. [013:017] He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and the valleys flow
according to their measure….
14. [027:060] Is not He (better than your gods) Who created the heavens and the
earth, and sends down for you water (rain) from the sky, whereby We cause to
grow wonderful gardens full of beauty and delight?

15. [007:050] And the dwellers of the Fire will call to the dwellers of Paradise:
“Pour on us some water or anything that Allâh has provided you with.” They will
say: “Both (water and provision) Allâh has forbidden to the disbelievers.”
16. 035:012] And the two seas (kinds of water) are not alike, this is palatable,
sweet and pleasant to drink, and that is salt and bitter
17. [016:065] And Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, then He revives the
earth therewith after its death. Verily, in this is a sign (clear proof) for a
people who listen (obey Allâh).
18. [036:034] And We have made therein gardens of date palms and grapes, and
We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein.
19. [035:027] See you not that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, and We
produce therewith fruits of various colours, and among the mountains are
streaks white and red, of varying colours and (others) very black.
20. [015:045] “Truly, the Muttaqûn (the pious. See V.2:2) will be amidst Gardens
and water springs (Paradise).
21. [032:027] Have they not seen how We drive water to the barren land, and
therewith bring forth crops providing food for their cattle and themselves? Will
they not then see?
22. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every
goodly kind to grow therein. 31:10

23. [030:024] And among His Signs is that He shows you the lightning, for fear and
for hope, and He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and therewith revives
the earth after its death. Verily, in that are indeed signs for a people who
understand.
24. [056:069] Is it you who cause it from the rain clouds to come down, or are We
the Causer of it to come down?
25. [029:063] And if you were to ask them: “Who sends down water (rain) from the
sky, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death?” they will surely
reply: “Allâh.” Say: “All praise and thanks are Allâh’s!” Nay, most of them have
no sense.
26. [014:016] In front of him (every obstinate, arrogant dictator) is Hell, and he
will be made to drink boiling, festering water.
27. [006:099] It is He Who sends down water (rain) from the sky, and with it We
bring forth vegetation of all kinds, and out of it
28. [024:045] Allâh has created every moving (living) creature from water.
29. [022:019] These two opponents (believers and disbelievers) dispute with each
other about their Lord; then as for those who disbelieved, garments of fire will
be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads.
30. [005:096] Lawful to you is (the pursuit of) water game and its use for food – for
the benefit of yourselves and those who travel, but forbidden is (the pursuit of)

land game as long as you are in a state of Ihrâm (for Hajj or ‘Umrah). And fear
Allâh to Whom you shall be gathered back.
31. [010:024] Verily, the likeness of (this) worldly life is as the water (rain) which
We send down from the sky; so by it arises the intermingled produce of the
earth of which men and cattle eat: until when the earth is clad in its
adornments and is beautified, and its people think that they have all the
powers of disposal over it, Our Command reaches it by night or by day and We
make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday! Thus
do We explain the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations,
laws, etc.) in detail for a people who reflect.
32. [020:053] Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened
roads (ways and paths) for you therein, and has sent down water (rain) from
the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation.
33. [002.022] Who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a
canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith
fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals to Allâh (in worship)
while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped).
34. [022:063] See you not that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, and
then the earth becomes green? Verily, Allâh is the Most Kind and Courteous,
Well-Acquainted with all things
35. [016:010] He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink
and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture.
36. [024:039] As for those who disbelieved, their deeds are like a mirage in a
desert. The thirsty one thinks it to be water until he comes up to it, he finds it
to be nothing; but he finds Allâh with him, Who will pay him his due (Hell). And
Allâh is Swift in taking account.

37. [007:057] And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going
before His Mercy (rain). Till when they have carried heavy-laden clouds, We
drive it to a land that is dead, then We cause water (rain) to descend thereon.
Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, We shall raise up the
dead, so that you may remember or take heed.
38. [002.164] Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the
alternation of night and day, and the ships which sail through the sea with that
which is of use to mankind, and the water (rain) which Allâh sends down from
the sky and makes the earth alive therewith after its death, and the moving
(living) creatures of all kinds that He has scattered therein, and in the veering
of winds and clouds which are held between the sky and the earth, are indeed
Ayât (proofs, evidences, signs, etc.) for people of understanding.
39. [014:032] Allâh is He Who has created the heavens and the earth and sends
down water (rain) from the sky, and thereby brought forth fruits as provision
for you; and He has made the ships to be of service to you, that they may sail
through the sea by His Command; and He has made rivers (also) to be of service
to you.
40. [006:070] And leave alone those who take their religion as play and
amusement, and whom the life of this world has deceived. But remind (them)
with it (the Qur’ân) lest a person be given up to destruction for that which he
has earned, when he will find for himself no protector or intercessor besides
Allâh, and even if he offers every ransom, it will not be accepted from him.
Such are they who are given up to destruction because of that which they have
earned. For them will be a drink of boiling water and a painful torment
because they used to disbelieve.
41. [107:007] And withhold Al-Mâ’ûn (small kindnesses like salt, sugar, water).

42. [086:006] He is created from a water gushing forth,
43. [22: 005] …..And you see the earth barren, but when We send down water
(rain) on it, it is stirred (to life), and it swells and puts forth every lovely kind
(of growth
44. [076:005] Verily, Al-Abrâr (the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism) shall
drink of a cup (of wine) mixed with (water from a spring in Paradise called)
Kâfûr.
45. [080:025] We pour forth water in abundance.
46. [043:011] And Who sends down water (rain) from the sky in due measure, then
We revive a dead land therewith, and even so you will be brought forth (from
the graves).
47. [079:030] And after that He spread the earth,
48. [079:031] And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture.
49. [055:019] He has let loose the two seas (the salt and fresh water) meeting
together.
50. [056:092] But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection),
the erring (away from the Right Path of Islâmic Monotheism),
51. [056:093] Then for him is an entertainment with boiling water.

52. [072:016] If they (non-Muslims) had believed in Allâh, and went on the Right
Way (i.e. Islâm), We would surely have bestowed on them water (rain) in
abundance.
53. [008:011] (Remember) when He covered you with a slumber as a security from
Him, and He caused water (rain) to descend on you from the sky, to clean you
thereby and to remove from you the Rijz (whispering, evil suggestions) of
Shaitân (Satan), and to strengthen your hearts, and make your feet firm
thereby.
54. [041:039] And among His Signs (is this), that you see the earth barren, but
when We send down water (rain) to it, it is stirred to life and growth (of
vegetations). Verily, He Who gives it life, surely is Able to give life to the dead
(on the Day of Resurrection). Indeed He is Able to do all things
55. [051:002] And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water;
56. [021:030] Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth
were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them? And We have
made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
57. 038:042] (Allâh said to him): “Strike the ground with your foot. This is (a spring
of) water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink.”
58. [050:009] And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We
produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped.
